Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was injured in a car wreck Tuesday, the Charlotte Observer newspaper is reporting.

The newspaper reported that a car crashed and overturned about 12:30 p.m. on a bridge crossing over an interstate in the general vicinity of Bank of America Stadium, where the Panthers play their home games. There was a second car involved in the crash, the Observer said.
