Around the SEC: A look at Saturday’s football games _lowres

Associated Press photo by SARAH BENTHAM -- Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams avoids a tackle from Nicholls State linebacker Davin Bovie (28) in the first half earlier this month in Fayetteville, Ark. The Razorbacks won 73-7.

The New Orleans Saints are adding to their running game.

The team has signed running back Jonathan Williams off of the Denver Broncos' practice squad.

Williams appeared in 11 games for the Buffalo Bills last year and had 27 carries for 94 yards. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2016 draft.

As a junior at Arkansas, he had 211 carries for 1,190 yards in 2014. He missed his senior season due to a foot injury. Williams played under Saints running backs coach Joel Thomas, who held the same position at Arkansas, from 2013-2014.

The move comes after running back Daniel Lasco was placed on injured reserve.
