New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Tom Benson is doing "very well" this morning after spending Sunday night at Ochsner Hospital due to brief weakness he experienced after the Saints' win over the Chicago Bears, according to spokesman Greg Bensel.

Benson, who had a busy weekend that included the Saints Hall of Fame induction on Friday night, the Pelicans win over the Cavaliers on Saturday and the Saints game on Sunday, will be home on Tuesday and back in the office working later this week.

The 90-year-old Benson released a statement thanking fans for well wishes.

"Gayle and I could not be more proud of our Saints and Pelicans players and hope you join us as we cheer on the Pelicans tonight," Benson said. "We look forward to seeing everyone back in the Superdome this Sunday."

As of Monday morning, Saints head coach Sean Payton was still playing phone tag with Benson, but he planned to speak with the franchise's owner at some point on Monday.
