The Saints could be a losing a coach soon.

Multiple reports have indicated that Ball State is interested in acquiring New Orleans Saints quarterbacks coach Mike Neu to take over as its head coach.

Football Scoop first reported the news. Multiple attempts to reach Neu’s representatives were not immediately returned.

Neu played quarterback for Ball State and began his coaching career there as a graduate assistant in 1994. He then coached in the Arena Football League for several years, having stops with the Nashville Kents, Augusta Stallions, Carolina Cobras and New Orleans VooDoo.

Neu joined the New Orleans Saints as a college scout in 2008 and served in that capacity until 2012. He then coached the quarterbacks at Tulane from 2012-13, before taking the same job with the Saints in 2014.

New Orleans concluded its season on Sunday with a 20-17 victory over the Falcons, which left the Saints with a 7-9 record.
