The Saints continue their season tonight at home against the Atlanta Falcons.
Both teams are coming off a short week, and while the familiarity between the two teams should help some in preparations, the Saints are coming up against a Falcons team that is currently undefeated.
And the familiarity might be minimal from a scheme standpoint since Atlanta has a new coach in Dan Quinn. Still, New Orleans knows the players, which should help.
One thing that also might help is that New Orleans is now running a simplified defensive scheme. The results haven’t been there thus far, but the plug-and-play nature of what the defense is doing should help the players get up to speed.
Every game form here on out is a must-win for the Saints. This one is no different. If there’s any hope of saving this season, it has to start tonight.
