Drew Brees passed for four touchdowns and ran for a fifth as the New Orleans Saints ran past the New York Giants, 49-24 Monday night.

Brees completed 24 of 38 passes for 363 yards, hitting both Lance Moore and Jimmy Graham with two touchdown passes each. Brees also had an 8-yard run for a touchdown, his first rushing touchdown of the season.

The Saints (8-3) were able make it an early night for Brees, who had New Orleans up by as much as 35-10 and 42-17 in the second half before giving in to backup Chase Daniel, who directed a touchdown drive that ended in a 35-yard touchdown run by Mark Ingram, who rushed for 80 yards for the Saints.

Pierre Thomas also rushed for a touchdown for New Orleans, which piled up 577 yards offense.

The Saints win spoiled a good statistical day for Giants quarterback Eli Manning, the New Orleans native who passed for 406 yards, completed 33 of 47 attempts, including a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to Victor Cruz. But New York (6-5) still dropped its third straight.
