The Saints are taking a look at some veteran players today.

Among those who are working out or visiting the team on Tuesday are veteran wide receiver Hakeem Nicks and tight end Connor Hamlett, according to sources.

Nicks was released by the Tennessee Titans last week. The former first-round pick of the New York Giants caught 38 passes for 405 yards last season for the Indianapolis Colts.

Hamlett, who was recently released by the Jaguars, left New Orleans early Tuesday. An offer is not immediately expected, according to a source.

New Orleans has needs at both positions. Marques Colston, Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead, and Brandon Coleman are currently the only receivers on the roster.

The Saints have Ben Watson and Josh Hill at tight end.
