Your wait for the 2014 NFL schedule is almost over.

The league confirmed Tuesday that the always-anticipated rollout will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. It’s the latest announcement of the schedule since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.

While the dates and times of the Saints games won’t be announced until Wednesday, it is known that the team will play home-and-away games with NFC South foes Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay plus home games against Baltimore, Cincinnati, Green Bay, Minnesota and San Francisco with road games at Dallas, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit and Chicago.

The season begins Sept. 4 with Super Bowl champion Seattle hosting to a team which will be announced Wednesday.

The NFL Network and ESPN will air three-hour specials on the rollout.
