With most of the starters from both teams on the sidelines for most of the game, the Miami Dolphins rallied to defeat the New Orleans Saints 24-21 in the teams' final preseason game.

The Saints next game is when they host the Atlanta Falcons in their regular season opener in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sept. 8.

Saints runinng back Khirry Robinson rushed for 115 yards on 22 carries.

Drew Brees did not play. Second-string quarterback Luke McCown completed 4 of 7 passes for 44 yards.

The Saints had a chance to win the game, but quarterback Ryan Griffin was intercepted by De'Andre Pressley with 59 seconds left.

Griffin completed 15 pof 31 passes for 198 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

McCown led the Saints on a 14-play, 75-yard touchdown drive in the first quarter to give New Orleans a 7-0 lead. Mark Ingram, who rushed for 49 yards on nine carries, had an 8-yard touchdown run.

Miami then scored 16 unanswered points to take a 16-7 lead.

New Orleans cut the Dolphins lead to when lineman Tim Lelito ecovered a fumble by Robinson in the end zone with 13:58 left in the game.

The Saints took a 21-16 lead when Ryan Grifin threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Austin Johnson with 11:04 remaining.

But Miami came back to take a 24-21 lead with 3:02 left. Dolphins quarterback Pat Devlin threw a 56-yard touchdown pass to receiver Marvin McNutt. Devlin ran up the middle for the two-point conversion to make the score 24-21. The scores capped a 7-play, 92-yard drive.
