The Saints are taking a look at a familiar face.

After trading Adrian Peterson to the Arizona Cardinals last week, New Orleans brought in running back Khiry Robinson for a workout on Monday, according to a source.

Robinson played for the Saints from 2013-2015, initially hooking on as an undrafted free agent. His best season came in 2014 when he rushed the 76 times for 362 yards.

Robinson served primarily as Mark Ingram's backup when playing here. He shared the backup role with Tim Hightower in 2015 and was eventually replaced by him the next season.

New Orleans currently has Alvin Kamara and Ingram atop the depth chart. If another running back is brought in, it would likely be to serve in a reserve role behind those two players.
