As expected, the Saints will be without a handful of starters during Sunday’s season opener against the Arizona Cardinals.

On Friday, the Saints ruled out running back C.J. Spiller (knee), safety Jairus Byrd (knee), linebacker Davis Tull (shoulder), cornerback Keenan Lewis (hip), and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (toe).

Running back Tim Hightower (knee) is listed as probable.

With Byrd out, Rafael Bush is expected to start at free safety. Delvin Breaux is expected to move into the starting lineup for Lewis. At linebacker, Ramon Humber and David Hawthorne will likely receive a good amount of snaps at weakside linebacker.
