C.J. Spiller might play for the Saints this week.

He also might not.

After being limited in practice throughout the week with a knee injury, the Saints have listed Spiller as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Safety Jairus Byrd, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, and cornerback Keenan Lewis have been ruled out.

When speaking with the media following Thursday’s practice, Spiller said that he feels good but would not offer any indication on his status for Sunday.

His teammates, however, are looking forward to his return — whether it’s this week or down the road.

“Just great to have him back,” running back Mark Ingram said. “We’ve been looking forward to getting him out there. He’s a very explosive playmaker and a great teammate, so to have the whole backfield going will be good.”
