Veteran cornerback Keenan Lewis participated in the portion of Thursday’s practice open to the media.
Lewis, who saw a specialist earlier this week to monitor the slow process of recovery from sports hernia surgery, sat out Wednesday’s session.
“There hasn’t been a setback,” Saints coach Sean Payton said Thursday morning. “It’s just him fighting through the soreness and flexibility and range of motion.”
All three of the players who were officially listed DNP — did not practice — on Wednesday’s injury report participated in the portion of practice open to the media.
Left tackle Terron Armstead, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe and punterThomas Morstead all did some work.
Rookie tackle Andrus Peat, who reportedly will miss a month after spraining his MCL on the first series against Atlanta, was the only Saint not present at practice.
- Keenan Lewis still fighting his way back from sports hernia
