Former Saints equipment manager Steve Landry, who spent nearly two decades working with the team, died on Sunday after a long fight with ALS.

Landry, who also spent three decades working for Southwest Airlines, was initially diagnosed with a motor neuron disease in 2010, and it was confirmed as Lou Gehrig’s disease, or ALS, two years later.

Before his diagnosis, Landry served with the Saints’ equipment staff on practice days, offseason workouts and gamedays, serving as part of the equipment staff during the Saints’ Super Bowl win.

He has been remembered by several Saints players on social media Monday.
