Saints RB Darren Sproles and RG Jahri Evans will miss Thursday night’s game at the Atlanta Falcons (2-8), according to their team.

Sproles has a hurt knee/ankle, and Evans has an injured ankle. They missed practice all week.

Sproles is the team’s leader in all-purpose yards with 968, and he’s scored four total TDs. This is the second contest Evans will sit out this year, though Thursday was the first time in his eight-year career with the Saints that he was listed as inactive.

Evans will be replaced by rookie guard Tim Lelito, who gave up three sacks in his only career start against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3. In response to Sproles absence, the Saints (8-2) have activated RB Khiry Robinson, who’s had 33 carries for 146 yards and a TD but has been inactive for five games, including the last three.

Expect RBs Pierre Thomas and Mark Ingram to get most of the extra touches resulting from Sproles’ unavailability.

Other Saints inactives are S Isa Abdul-Quddus, DE Tyrunn Walker, WR Nick Toon, CB Trevin Wade and No. 3 QB Ryan Griffin. Walker was listed as questionable with a knee injury — he’s been inactive for eight games now, including the past seven.

Quddus, Toon, Griffin and Wade weren’t listed on the injury report. The Saints signed Wade this week after placing CB Jabari Greer on injured reserve with a season-ending knee injury he sustained against San Francisco on Sunday.

Meanwhile, S Kenny Vaccaro and TE Benjamin Watson are available to play after missing the 49ers game with concussions they sustained against Dallas on Nov. 10.

For Atlanta, RB Josh Vaughan, DB Kemal Ishmael, LG Harland Gunn, T Sean Locklear, WR Brian Robiskie and DE Malliciah Goodman are all inactive. Goodman (calf) was the only one listed on the injury report.

Active are TE Tony Gonzalez (toe), RB Jacquizz Rodgers (ankle) and DT Jonathan Babineaux (tricep).
