The New Orleans Saints will sign undrafted rookie tight end Garrett Griffin after the rookie minicamp, a source told The Advocate Sunday.
Griffin, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound player, made 41 catches for 678 yards and eight touchdowns in his career at the service academy.
But he didn’t get many chances to catch the football in Air Force’s triple-option offense, which mostly utilizes tight ends as blockers.
As an added bonus, Griffin has long-snapping ability that can make him an asset on special teams.
