New Orleans Saints strong safety Kenny Vaccaro left Sunday's game with a groin injury and did not return, but the decision to keep him out of the second half was mostly precautionary, a source told The Advocate.

With Vaccaro out, veteran Chris Banjo entered the game and played his first defensive snaps of the season, making a tackle and recovering a fumble.

Left tackle Terron Armstead also left the game due to a chest injury, although he remained on the sidelines in uniform during the second half. Armstead said he was alright after the game, but he was scheduled to undergo an MRI after the game to determine if the injury was more serious than first thought.

Kicker Wil Lutz, who briefly left the game after taking a hit on a blocked extra point in the first quarter, said he just had to shake off the hit. Lutz returned to the game, made one of two field goals and made the rest of his extra points.
