GLENDALE, Ariz. — New Orleans safety Rafael Bush, who suffered a chest injury in the first half against Arizona, is doubtful to return.
Bush appeared to get injured on a 44-yard catch-and-run by Daniel Fells. While trying to make the tackle, Bush was hit with a blind side block.
The safety stayed in the game for one snap, then headed to the sideline after the next play. Bush, who was starting because Jairus Byrd is out as he rehabs his knee, left New Orleans without a true free safety.
Veteran Jamarca Sanford has taken over the free safety role in Bush’s place.
