Keenan Lewis changing part of his identity.
On Instagram, the Saints cornerback announced that he will surrender No. 28 to newly-signed running back C.J. Spiller and will wear No. 21 next season.
“(Twenty-eight) mean a lot to Spiller and I respect that,” Lewis wrote. “I’m not selfish. (I’m) a team guy.”
In a separate post, Lewis said he will buy his new jersey for anyone who purchased his No. 28 jersey and still has a receipt.
He also explained that he picked No. 21, which was last worn by Patrick Robison, because it was the number of his childhood idol, Deion Sanders.
