The New Orleans Saints are bringing in veteran kicker Nick Novakfor a Tuesday tryout, a source confirmed to The Advocate on Monday night.

Novak, 34, has spent the last four seasons with the San Diego Chargers, making 86.3 percent of his kicks out west, including 22 of 26 last season. The longest kick Novak has made in the NFL came from 53 yards in 2011.

The veteran kicker was beaten out in San Diego’s training camp by undrafted Texas A&M rookie Josh Lambo.
