WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. — Saints running back C.J. Spiller recently underwent arthroscopic surgery on Friday on his knee, a source confirmed.
The running back missed practices last week due a knee injury. He attempted to come back and was subsequently shut down.
A source described the procedure as “maintenance” and said the hope is that Spiller returns by Week 1.
ESPN first reported the procedure.
Spiller was signed this offseason to a four-year, $16 million deal. He previously played for the Bills.
