Advocate staff photo by ELIOT KAMENITZ-- New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston (12) plows over Minnesota Vikings strong safety Robert Blanton (36) to score a touchdown in the fourth quarter in New Orleans, La. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014. With the extra point, the Saints won 20-9.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday night that Saints wide receiver Marques Colston has purchased a share of the Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul and is now part owner of the team. Schefter cited Ron Jaworski, the former Eagles quarterback and majority owner of the Soul.

Colston already owns the Harrisburg (Pennsylvania) Stampede, a member of the Professional Indoor Football League. He's caught 12 passes for 185 yards and a touchdown this season for the 1-3 Saints.

A seventh-round draft pick for the Saints in 2006, Colston is the all-time leader for the franchise in receptions (619), receiving yards (8,522) and touchdowns (64), and he was a part of the team that won Super Bowl XLIV.
