Sports Illustrated NFL writer Don Banks had a confession to make in a story on SI.com on Thursday. Like many people, Banks was caught up in the hysteria about the New Orleans Saints and picked them to win the Super Bowl.
We all know what happened. The Saints finished 7-9, second in the NFC South, failed to make the playoffs. As a result, General Manager Mickey Loomis and Coach Sean Payton decided not to stay with the status quo. The team then practically cleaned house in a variety of off-season moves that included trading tight end Jimmy Graham to Seattle.
But there is good news Saints fans.
Banks hasn’t lost faith in the Saints and has predicted the team to win the NFC South.
