The Saints have promoted offensive lineman John Fullington to the active roster.

After initially hooking on with the Arizona Cardinals, Fullington has spent the last two seasons on New Orleans' practice squad.

To make room for his arrival, the Saints waived veteran tight end John Phillips, who hooked on with the team last week. Cornerback Mykkele Thompson signed to the practice squad to take Fullington's place.

The promotion of Fullington comes after New Orleans ruled offensive tackle Terron Armstead out for Sunday's game due to a thigh injury.
