The Saints have signed C.J. Spiller.
After meeting with the team Thursday, the Saints struck a deal to bring the former Bills running back to New Orleans, according to ESPN.
The 27-year-old Spiller was limited to nine games last season, rushing for 300 yards and catching 19 passes for another 125. His best year came in 2012 when he rushed for 1,244 yards and caught 43 passes for 459 yards.
In New Orleans, he joins Mark Ingram in the backfield. He will likely serve as a change of pace behind Ingram and serve predominately in the passing game.
More to come.
