New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees participated in the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday, one day after sitting out Wednesday’s practice.
Brees, who played brilliantly despite a torn plantar fascia in his right foot last Sunday, feels better this week.
Four other starting Saints were still absent in the portion of Wednesday’s practice open to the media.
Left tackle Terron Armstead (knee), wide receiver Marques Colston(chest), right tackle Andrus Peat (concussion) and linebackerDannell Ellerbe (hip) were not spotted in Thursday’s open portion.
New Orleans will release its official injury report later this afternoon. NFL teams report only what happens in the full team portion of practice, so the injury report can be different from what’s seen in the open portion.
