The NFL Network’s countdown of the league’s top 100 players for 2014 culminated Wednesday night with a familiar name.
New Orleans’ own Peyton Manning was named the league’s top player by his peers. It’s the first time the 38-year-old quarterback has garnered that designation in the four years the network has surveyed the league’s veteran players.
The Saints also had a profound presence: They’re the only team to put two players in the top 10. That would be quarterback Drew Brees at No. 6 and tight end Jimmy Graham at No. 10.
