Advocate staff photo by PATRICK DENNIS -- Sebastian Jacobs, 13, from Taylor Mill, KY gets Saints owner Tom Benson to sign his football as Gayle Benson watches during the Saints two-hour afternoon practice Sunday. Greenbriar hosted aSaints fan picnic following the practice. Jacobs was wearing a QB Drew Brees' number 9 jersey and says he likes Brees, "because he's the quarterback and because he's a good guy."

Tom Benson has high expectations this season.

Another 7-9 season isn’t going to work. The Saints owner wants a whole lot more.

“They better win every game or I’ll be mad at them,” Benson said during an appearance on Sirius XM radio.

Benson wasn’t done. When asked about consistency of the team over the years and recent success, he said he expects the organization to keep having success.

“We’re gonna do more. They better not stop or I’ll kick them,” Benson said. “You know where, huh?”

Benson also said the Saints are trying to find ways to get more people in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome to watch games. He doesn’t expect to expand the seating capacity by much, but they’re looking to find a way to add some seats and thin out the waiting list for season tickets.

“We don’t want to go to 80,000, but maybe we can get 3,000 more some place,” Benson said.
