The Saints will work out Boston College linebacker Steven Daniels and safety Justin Simmons, sources tell The Advocate.

Daniels, who played both strongside and middle linebacker, is more of a run stopper. He finished last season with 82 tackles (16 for a loss), six sacks and an interception.

Simmons, a safety, had 67 tackles, five interceptions and two forced fumbles last season. He was forced to play cornerback last season due to injuries and faced some struggles.

The Saints could use depth at both linebacker and safety.
