Saints tight end Josh Hill recently had surgery to repair a finger on his left hand, according to a source.

The ring finger on Hill's hand became locked at a "90-degree angle" and he played with it throughout most of the season. He is expected to be fine in time for the offseason program.

Hill caught 16 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown last season. He made several key catches in the postseason, reeling in six passes for another 103 yards and a touchdown.

Hill is entering the final year of his contract after signing a three-year deal prior to the start of the 2016 season.
