The revolving door at tight end continues.

A week after signing Michael Egnew, the New Orleans Saints have waived the tight end, a source confirmed.

Egnew did not play in Saturday’s game against the New England Patriots.

The 25-year-old was a third-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2012. He had seven catches for 69 yards in 2013.

The Saints currently have Ben Watson, Josh Hill, Orson Charles and Alex Smith at tight end. Kevin Brock and Jack Tabb landed on injured reserve after becoming injured at camp.

WWL Radio’s Kristian Garic first reported this transaction.
