GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Tulane women’s basketball team bounced back from Sunday’s loss at Memphis with a 66-51 victory at East Carolina on Tuesday night.

Kolby Morgan led the way with 20 points, with 18 coming in the second half. She added a team-high seven assists.

“I thought we did some good things in the first half but just couldn’t get control of the game,” coach Lisa Stockton said in a news release. “In the second half, we held them to 24 percent shooting and played gutsy. We played a great game.”

Courtnie Latham joined Morgan in double digits with 13 points. Tulane (11-4, 2-1 AAC) improved to 14-6 in the all-time series against the Pirates (6-9, 0-3). The Wave defense held East Carolina’s leading scorer, Jada Payne, to 12 points.

The Green Wave hosts Central Florida at 4 p.m. Sunday in Devlin Fieldhouse.
