Miramar (Florida) High offensive lineman Leeward Brown committed to Tulane on Sunday at the end of his official visit.

Brown, a 6-foot-3, 345-pound guard, tweeted a picture of himself wearing a Tulane No. 71 jersey with the words, “that No. 71 look good on me Tulane.”

A little later, Green Wave linebacker Nico Marley tweeted his congratulations. welcoming the “New Tulane commit.”

A Tulane source confirmed the commitment was official.

Brown joins East St. John running back Nigel Anderson as the only Tulane commitments rated three stars by Rivals.com. Rivals.com ranks him No. 54 nationally among offensive linemen. He is the Wave’s 17th commitment and the third offensive lineman in the class along with Keyshawn McLeod of Port Charlotte (Florida) and Keeyon Smart of McKinley.

Brown committed to Miami in February of 2014, but the Hurricanes cooled on him during his senior year at Miramar before he decommitted in November.

He also considered Louisville and Temple before visiting Tulane on the final recruiting weekend.

National Signing Day is Wednesday.
