In Memphis, Tennessee, the Green Wave women’s basketball team’s seven-game winning streak ended with an 83-67 loss at Memphis on Sunday afternoon.

Tulane (10-4, 1-1) put four players in double figures but gave up a season high in points. Memphis (7-6, 1-1) scored its first American Athletic Conference victory of the young season.

“We just didn’t come out with great energy,” coach Lisa Stockton said in a Tulane news release. “I thought we came out very lethargic. Memphis did a great job. Defense is something we’ve been able to hang our hat on but just didn’t do a great job.”

Tulane’s Kolby Morgan finished with a team-best 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting. Chinwe Duru and Courtnie Latham recorded 12 points each, and Taylor Emery had 10 points and a career-best seven rebounds.
