The Tulane season opener at Tulane, which is its' inaugural game as a member of the American Athletic Conference, has been moved up two days to Aug. 28.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 30. Television coverage and kickoff time will each be announced at a later date.

Tulane and Tulsa are each entering their first season in The American and the Aug. 28 contest from H.A. Chapman Stadium will serve as the only league game during the first three weeks of the 2014 season.

With the Tulsa game moved to Thursday night, the Green Wave now has two week night games this season. Tulane will host Cincinnati at Yulman Stadium on Friday, Oct. 31 in front of a nationally-televised audience on ESPN2/ESPNU.

Tulane and Tulsa first met in New Orleans in 1968 and faced off as members of Conference USA from 2005-13. The Green Wave topped the Golden Hurricane in last year's meeting, 14-7.

Season tickets for Tulane's inaugural season in Yulman Stadium are on sale. The Green Wave will play six games at its new on-campus facility, including Georgia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 6.
