Construction on Yulman Stadium isn’t slowing down in August.

So Tulane’s football program will be exiled from its campus one last time as it prepares for the season. On Tuesday, the Green Wave released its preseason practice schedule, which features four different practice sites around New Orleans.

Coach Curtis Johnson opens fall camp Aug. 4, the first of 13 practices at the New Orleans Saints indoor facility on Airline Drive.

Tulane will also conduct six practices at Tad Gormley Stadium in City Park, three others at Isidore Newman School before concluding on the outfield of the Green Wave’s Turchin Stadium on Aug. 22.

The schedule features five two-a-day practice sessions, with a morning session at 8:30 a.m. and afternoon session at 3:30 p.m.

It’s a slight increase from the four two-a-days held in last season’s fall camp, which also used four practice sites.

Thirteen of the 22 practices are open to the media, including five at the Saints facility and Tad Gormley, all three at Newman and the lone workout in Turchin Stadium.

However, the public is allowed to attend practices only at Tad Gormley and Turchin.

Tulane will open its inaugural season in the American Athletic Conference at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, against Tulsa at H.A Chapman Stadium. On Sept. 6, Tulane will host Georgia Tech at 3 p.m. in the first game at Yulman Stadium.
