FRESNO — Fresno hammered three solo home runs and came from behind to defeat the New Orleans Baby Cakes 4-2 to finish off a four-game sweep Friday night.
The Baby Cakes scored in the first inning, when Steve Lombardozzi singled and scored from third base on a wild pitch.
Fresno tied it with a solo home run from AJ Reed in the sixth inning and two batters later Jack Mayfield hit a home run to give Fresno a 2-1 lead.
Fresno added runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
Moises Sierra drilled a home run in the ninth inning but New Orleans' comeback bid came up short.
Starter Mike Hauschild allowed one run and earned the win, pitching six innings. Scott Copeland suffered the loss. Jordan Jankowski earned his 10th save.
Fresno (63-43) improved to 14-2 since the All-Star break, and New Orleans (40-65) dropped its 10th consecutive road game.
