Zephyrs

Late Monday

Tyler White went 4-for-5, falling a triple short of the cycle, and drove in six runs to lead the Fresno Grizzlies to a 10-4 rout of the New Orleans Zephyrs on Monday night in Fresno, Calif.

White’s two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning gave the Grizzlies a quick 2-0 lead, marking the eighth time in the past 12 games the Z’s allowed at least one run in the opening frame, during which they have been outscored 15-0.

The Z’s look to avoid suffering their fourth series sweep of the year in Tuesday’s finale, which started 9:05 p.m. CDT.
