PAPILLION, NEB. — The Zephyrs’ four-game win streak and recent dominance over Omaha came to an end in front of a sellout crowd at Werner Park.
The Zephyrs had won eight consecutive against the Chasers, but Omaha scored a pair of runs in the second and third innings.
Omaha starter Alec Mills pitched 6.2 innings, allowing one run on five hits and won his second career Triple-A start.
Alex Gordon, on a rehab assignment from the Kansas City Royals, added an RBI single and three walks for Omaha. Ramon Torres led the Chasers with a pair of hits and two RBIs.
New Orleans starter Chris Reed took the loss allowing, four runs on five hits in four innings.
The Zephyrs are 36-37. Omaha snapped a four-game losing streak to improve to 31-42.
