Papillion , Neb. — Justin Bour and Miguel Rojas each hit two-run homers, and the defense turned a triple play to give the New Orleans Zephyrs a 5-3 win at the Omaha Storm Chasers on Friday night at Werner Park.

The Omaha offense erupted early with a Whit Merrifield home run to lead off the bottom of the first. The Storms Chasers pounded out four consecutive hits to start the game and led 2-0 after a Moises Sierra RBI single. But Cheslor Cuthbert grounded to third base with two on, and the Zephyrs turned an inning-ending triple play to get Adam Conley out of trouble.

The Z’s tied the score with a two-run shot from Justin Bour in the fourth. The Chasers’ Orlando Calixte slugged a solo home run in the fourth to put Omaha back on top 3-2.

Rojas smashed his two-run homer with two outs in the sixth to put the Z’s on top. And Conley settled in, working six innings, allowing three runs and eight hits.

The Z’s added an unearned run in the ninth, and Nick Masset worked a perfect ninth for his second save.
