Nashville , Tenn. — Miguel Rojas smoked a triple into right center field to score a pair of runs, and the New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the Nashville Sounds 7-5 in 18 innings Saturday.

The game was the longest of the season and longest in a decade for the Zephyrs. The time of game was 5 hours and 26 minutes.

Scott Sizemore provided a season-high five hits for the Zephyrs and scored the go-ahead run in the 18th.

James Nygren pitched two innings and earned the win. Niuman Romero, a position player, took the loss for the Sounds.

The Zephyrs continue their four-game road trip in Nashville on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. The Zephyrs are slated to start LHP Justin Nicolino (3-0, 1.55 ERA) against RHP Kendall Graveman (1-1, 2.60).
