SACRAMENTO — Three River Cats pitchers silenced the Baby Cakes on Monday night for a 3-0 Sacramento win.

The RiverCats scored a run in three consecutive innings to win their third in a row and the sixth time in the last seven games.

Jose Flores scattered four hits in 6.2 innings and earned the win for the RiverCats. New Orleans starter Justin Nicolino allowed three runs, two earned in seven innings to take the loss.

Sacramento’s Ali Castillo led off the third with a base-hit, Jarrett Parker followed with a single and Castillo scored on a Pablo Sandoval sacrifice fly.

New Orleans (40-68) dropped its 12th consecutive road game this season and fell to 0-7 on the current west coast swing.

The Baby Cakes return home on Thursday to face the El Paso Chihuahuas at 7 p.m.
