WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Wynton Bernard had three hits and scored two runs, and Roberto Gomez allowed just four hits over five innings as the Sacramento River Cats beat the New Orleans Baby Cakes 6-2 on Sunday.

Gomez (3-6) picked up the win after he struck out six while allowing one run.

Sacramento took the lead in the first when it crossed the plate for four runs, including a single by Trevor Brown that scored Chris Shaw.

The River Cats extended their lead in the fourth when Ryan Lollis hit a two-run single.

Mike Kickham (0-1) went four innings, allowing six runs and 10 hits while striking out one in the Pacific Coast League game.

For the Baby Cakes, Moises Sierra doubled and singled twice, also stealing a base.
