L as Vegas The New Orleans Zephyrs pitching staff continued its dominance Wednesday night.

The Z’s delivered their ninth shutout of the season and their second in the past four games. The Z’s defeated the 51’s 4-0 at Cashman Field.

The Zephyrs have won four consecutive and in this stretch the Zephyrs pitching staff has allowed three earned runs in 38 innings and opponents are batting .140. Alex Sanabia delivered six shutout innings and earned his sixth win of the season.

The Z’s scored a run in the first inning when Austin Wates scored on a two-out single from Mark Canha to grab a 1-0 lead. The Z’s held the 1-0 lead until the ninth when they added three more runs to extend the advantage to 4-0.

The 51’s threatened in the game, but the Z’s defense turned a season high three double plays and a triple play in the fourth inning. Arquemedes Caminero retired the final two batters to record his eighth save.
