Nashville , Tenn. — Nashville starter Taylor Jungmann pitched seven inning, allowed two hits and shut down the New Orleans Zephyrs for the second consecutive game Saturday.

The Sounds offense pounded 14 hits in a 13-0 victory.

Jungmann (4-4) allowed two hits in the fourth inning but worked out of the jam and cruised to the victory.

The Sounds pitching staff has not allowed a run to the Zephyrs in their last 18 innings and has limited the Zephyrs to six hits in the past two games. The Sounds lead the PCL with seven shutouts and in ERA.

The Sounds offense scored a first-inning run on a Hunter Morris’ two-out RBI. The Sounds added a run in the fourth and erupted in the fifth inning scoring five runs.

Adam Conley (2-3) worked 4.2 innings and allowed seven runs on nine hits in the loss.

Sean Halton led the Sounds with four hits and Morris and former Zephyr Kevin Mattison had three RBIs.

The first-place Zephyrs lead Round Rock and Nashville by 11/2 games.
