RENO, Nev. — The Reno Aces scored three seventh-inning runs to come from behind and defeat the New Orleans Zephyrs 4-2 on Friday night at Aces Ballpark.
The Zephyrs scored a pair of runs in the fourth inning to take a 2-0 lead. Cole Gillespie reached on a walk and scored from first on a Derek Dietrich double. The Zephyrs added a two-out RBI single from Reid Brignac.
In the seventh inning with two outs and no one on, Reno’s Danny Worth doubled. Todd Glasemann, in his first career Triple-A game, worked a long at-bat and drilled a two-run homer to tie the score.
The inning wasn’t over, and for the second consecutive night, the defense let the Z’s down. A pair of errors allowed the Aces to score the go-ahead run, and Reno added a solo home run from Peter O’Brien in the eighth.
New Orleans starter Travis Blackley pitched allowed two runs on five hits in 6.1 innings. James Nygren took the defeat in relief, and Robbie Ray earned the win for Reno.
