A man shot in the leg near Dorsey Park in Lafayette on Monday afternoon was unable to give Lafayette Police a description of the assailant.
The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Cora Street, near the park and the Martin Luther King Center, according to a news release from the Lafayette Police Department.
The victim could not provide police with any information on the shooter, who fired once into the victim’s leg, spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton said.
The man who was shot was listed in good condition at an area hospital on Monday afternoon, Mouton said.
Monday’s shooting follows a violent week in the same area. Two teenagers, 18 and 19 years old, were shot to death in separate shootings on July 27 and July 29. Another two men were injured in a shooting on July 28.
