Narcotics agents arrested three Abbeville residents Monday after a search of their camper turned up crystal meth.

Dennison Babin, 38, Joel Cessac, 32, and Hali Bertrand, 25, were booked on counts of obstruction of justice and possession of both drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine after agents found meth residue and baggies in the toilet, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The agents traveled to the camper on La. 338 on a tip that drug activity was being conducted at the location, the Sheriff’s Office said. Once deputies arrived, the three people rushed inside and rummaged around before answering the door.

At this point, the agents procured a search warrant and a K-9 unit to clear the camper where they found the suspected meth and a gun.

Babin was also charged with illegal possession of Lortab, possessing a firearm with obliterated serial numbers and possessing that gun in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.
