State Police have arrested six people and accused them of stealing money from a high school club’s bingo game.

State Police were called in March by the state Office of Charitable Gaming about an alleged theft that happened during bingo sessions that were intended to benefit the Rayne High School Future Farmers of America, troopers say.

Investigators identified six people they say were involved in the thefts; the total amount stolen from the club was more than $22,000, troopers say.

Records show the Rayne FFA boosters held bingo games at Metro Bingo before it closed, and now are held at Johnston Street Bingo. It is unclear where the thefts are alleged to have occurred.

Acadia Parish Superintendent Scott Richard said  the school system learned about the investigation in December and has cooperated fully with investigators.

The following were arrested and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail:

Dorothy Trahan, 71, booked with four counts filing and maintaining false public records; one count criminal conspiracy; and one count principal to theft. Jail records indicate she posted $50,000 bond and was released.

Shane Trahan, 44, booked with four counts filing and maintaining false public records, one count criminal conspiracy, one count principal to theft and one misdemeanor theft. Bond records show he posted $28,000 bond and was released.

Thomas Montana, 45, booked with one count criminal conspiracy and one count principal to theft. Jail records show he posted $25,000 bond and was released.

Rocky Castellucio, 34, booked with criminal conspiracy and principal to theft. Jail records show he posted $20,000 bond and was released.

Dawn Delhomme, 40, booked with criminal conspiracy and principal to theft. Jail records show she posted $20,000 bond and was released.

Ashley Hoffpauir, 33, booked with criminal conspiracy and misdemeanor theft. Jail records show she posted $16,000 bond and was released.
