Four Kaplan residents have been arrested in a rash of Vermilion Parish camp burglaries, an investigation that is ongoing and may result in more arrests, Sheriff Mike Couvillon said.

The break-ins and thefts occurred at camps at Pecan Island, Couvillon said in an emailed statement. The sheriff did not release when the burglaries occurred.

Arrested on counts of simple burglary were: Ricky Miller, 31; Wilson Hargrave, 27; Ashley Uriegas, 27; and Nathanael Kelly, 28.

Bail for Miller, Hargrave and Uriegas was set at $50,000. Bail for Kelly was set at $10,000.

All four were booked into the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center.

Detectives are in the process of recovering stolen items, and Couvillon is asking anyone who bought televisions, guns, clothes or electronic equipment from the suspects in recent weeks to contact the Vermilion Parish Criminal Investigations Division at (337) 898-4403.
